In a special 1995 episode of At the Movies dedicated to Pulp Fiction and its creator, famed critics Gene Siskel & Roger Ebert discuss the surprise smash hit and the meteoric rise of its young director, debating whether Quentin Tarantino is “a one man new wave or just a flavor of the month.” Along the way, they compare the film’s violent intensity & reverberating impact to Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, Arthur Penn’s Bonnie and Clyde and Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange.
